September Blog Waddle - Holiday Catalog

Hi All!

We're ready for another blog Waddle from the awesome ladies of the Stray Ducklings!

Today I'm sharing with you a card that I designed for my September 2018 class.  It's got oodles of new product from not only the Holiday catalog, but also the annual catalog.  Here is the card:

I used the  Beautiful Blizzard stamp set to create the neat background of blue and purple.  I stamped this on shimmer paper.  I also cut out the circle in the whisper white, then embossed it with the beautiful swirls and curls embossing folder.  I cut the reindeer out using the dashing deer thinlits and popped him up using dimensionals.  A simple, yet elegant card.

Waddle on over to the next blog:  Lori Helvick

Here is a list of today's participants - make sure you visit their blog and leave a comment!  We love to hear from you!

Get more out of your Stamparatus

Hi all!

I recently did a mini-class on the Tips and Tricks of the new stamp positioning tool offered by Stampin'Up - the Stamparatus.  I call it Stamparatus 101.  The class was free, if you had ordered or was going to order a Stamparatus from me.  I had handouts and we went through the parts of the Stamparatus and some tools and tricks to make using it easy with consistent results.  We also dipped out toes into the uniques stamping abilities of the Stamparatus - such as circle stamping.

Here are the three cards that we made.  The first two were hinge stamping and the last one was circle stamping.  My inspiration for these cards was Brandy Cox, Patty Bennet and Linda Heller:

This is a basic Stamparatus class.  This is a perfect class for new Stamparatus owners, or those of you who want to know what all the fuss is about.  I'd be happy to teach as long as there are people who will take it.  -The class is only 2 hours long and costs $6 (free if you order a Stamparatus from me or have in the past).

I'm also in the process of developing another mini-class called Stamparatus 201, where we do more advanced stamping with this tool.  Haven't quite got everything nailed down yet, but I'm working on it!  I will let you know when this class is available.

Let me know if you are interested in taking the class.  I'll gladly do it!

Blessings,

Sheryl

Birthday Finale #2

Hi again!

Kale, who lives in Colorado, will be turning 4.  I really wish we could see our grandson's more often, but getting out to Colorado is a challenge.  Sure wish Frontier still had their direct flights to Denver from the Bloomington Airport!

Anyway, he is a very special little guy.  And here is the card I made for him:  It's a wiper card - very easy to make!

I used the retired Birthday Delivery Bundle and Designer Series Paper (it's seriously cute!),  The card looks normal, until you pull on either side and then a surprise pops up!

Turning 4 is a special time, and I hope this card puts a smile on his face.  I just wish I was there to see it.  :(

The waterfall card and the swiper cards are fun and unique cards to make and very easy.  I think I see these two types of cards in a future class!!

Until later,

Sheryl

Birthday Finale #1

Hi all!

I'm finally getting to the last of the birthdays.  My two grandson's who live in Colorado will be celebrating their birthday's less than a week apart.  Rowan turns 1 on September 7th and Kale turns 4 on September 13th!  Both are special boys and both need special grandma inspired birthday cards that amaze and delight!

First, Rowan's card.  This is a waterfall card using the Little Elephant stamp set:

When you pull on the ribbon, each picture comes up, one at a time:

I wanted to use primary colors and I did use some retired DSP and brads.  (I never get rid of anything!  You just never know when you will need them!)  It's an easy card to do (much easier than it looks) and I think Rowan will be delighted.

Tomorrow I will show you Kale's really cute card.

Until then,

Have a wonderful and creative day!

September Class is in Session!!

Good Morning everyone!

My September class is ready to go.  The theme for this month is the new Holiday Catalog Sampler.  So we've made a little fall, a little Christmas.  Here are the cards:

As you can see, these cards can be used for holiday greetings or can be used for any time of the year.  Stampin'Up wants you to use your stamps all year round!

You will be making 2 each, with envelopes for a total of 6 cards.  You will also receive the "recipe" for these cards so you can make them at home as well!

The bonus card is a little different this month.  On page 23 of the Holiday Catalog, you will see a Memories and More card set called Santa's Workshop.  You get 50 cards in this set for only $10.  There is also a coordinating card and envelope packet, where you get 20 card bases and envelopes, 10 of each size.  This set also coordinates with the adorable Signs of Santa Bundle.  With a few other accessories, you can whip out the cutest Christmas cards you have ever seen.  These would be perfect for young children as well.  I am offering a "Kit" class of the Memories and More Santa's Workshop where you will make 20 cards.  I have this scheduled for November.  This months bonus card is just a little sample of this great packet.  You will make one card.  Here are some samples:

The 6 cards, plus one bonus is a total of 7 cards.  Cost of the class is $20.  Here are the dates and times:

Tuesday, September 11th - 10am - 2pm - bring your own lunch
Friday, September 14th - 10am - 2pm - Bring your own lunch
Sunday, September 16th - 1:30 pm - 4:30pm

Please let me know by Thursday, September 6th if you wish to participate in my class.

I'm also offering a Christmas Card Kit class in October.  We will be using the Timeless Tidings Project Kit found on page 33 of the Holiday Catalog.  I will provide the necessary stamp set and the ink.  You bring yourself, snips and your favorite adhesive.  We will be making 20 of these fabulous cards - 5 each of 4 designs.  These are no stress cards and lots of fun to get together with your fellow stampers.  The class is Tuesday, October 30th.  I will have to let you know later the time and place - depends on how many sign up for it!   The class is FREE, if you order the kit from me.  Order early, because I have a feeling there will be a high demand for this beautiful kit.  You can either call me and I will order it for you, or use my online store.

Until later,

Sheryl
