Valentines Day - Part 3 - The Big Day

Good Morning All!

Well, it's finally here...Valentines day.  And I have the rest of my cards to show you.  So let's get started.

The little skunk was one of my favorites in the Hey Love set:



The first card was inspired by Brenda Quintana.  I just changed it up a bit.  The second card was me just playing with a lot of framelits!  The hearts are the Heart Epoxy Droplets, that I colored with the dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blend.  I love how we can customize and coordinate with Stampin'Up products!

This last card is something that just came together.  I'm still not sure if I love it or not:




 I cut out the hearts in both Basic Black card stock and out of the Lovely Lipstick foil paper.  I just placed the cutout outline in the basic black and let the back layer show through.  Very easy to make.

I hope you enjoyed seeing all my valentines.  I had a great deal of fun making them.

Count Down to Valentines Day - Part 2

Good Morning!

Today I'm sharing more Valentine's that I made while convalescing.  Still using the Hey Love Stamp set.  This time I made the cute little ape.





I made these in two different card sizes:  one is 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 and the other is the regular 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 size.  Love the Lovely Lipstick foil.  I used Stampin'Blends, Light and Dark Smokey Slate and dark Lovely lipstick.

Count Down to Valentines Day

Hi All!

Since I've been home bound recuperating from hip surgery, I've had some time to make a few cards, concentrating on Valentines Day.  Stampin'Up has some really outstanding stamp sets for Valentine's Day in the Occasions Catalog.

I think my favorite is the Hey Love Stamp Set.  Here is one card that I made.  I was gong to send it to one of my grand children, but decided on something different.  Here is the cute 'Gator:




I love making little 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 cards.  They fit in a regular envelope too!  I used the new rectangle stitched framelits, the Lovely Lipstick foil paper (free Sale-a-Bration item with a $50 order), and the new embossing folder, Dot to Dot.  Looks like allegator skin, doesn't it?  I colored the cute croc using Granny Apple Green, Lovely Lipstick and Dark Daffodile delight Stampin' Blends. 

I'm sure anyone on your Valentine list, young or old, would love to receive this.  Below are the measurements and supply list.

February Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle

Welcome to the February Stray Duckling Blog Waddle!  This month I'm showcasing Valentines Day!



Here is a card that was inspired by Angie Juda (better know as Chic'nScratch).  I changed mine up just a tad with a few more details:  I embossed the background with the subtle embossing folder, and I put a sliver of Lovely Lipstick on the edge of the All My Love Designer Series Paper.



 I branched out and did two more versions:



Not a lot of difference, but I thought the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment stood out a bit better on the second one.

Making these cards have been a major victory for me;  since having hip surgery, my energy level has been a bit low but it's starting to come back, big time!  Check out my blog tomorrow and you will see my count down to Valentines Day!
