December 2023 Stray Duckling Blog Waddle

 Welcome to the December 23 blog waddle, presented by the Stampin' Stray Ducklings of Central Illinois.  This months theme is retiring products from the Sept - Dec 23 Winter Mini Catalog.  

I choose a card that we made in my November class and was so cute.  It's the Beary Christmas stamp set and designer series paper. and punch.  The card I made was inspired by Patty Bennett, Stampin'Up demonstrator.   It's called a back fold card.

 

So sad to see this cute bundle retire!  

That's all for now.  I'm really looking forward to the January - April Spring mini catalog.  

I spent Thanksgiving up in the Rocky Mountains with my son's family.  It snowed!  And I think I got my quota for the season already.  So beautiful - but it wasn't much fun to drive in.  And I didn't see any polar bears walking about....

Stampin' Stray Duckling November Blog Waddle - Woo Hoo!

 Hi all,

This months inspiration comes from the September - December Stampin' Up mini catalog, or better known as the winter holiday catalog.  

The card I choose for this month comes from my October 2023 card class.

These cards were so stunning I just had to create them as is.  I used the Joy of Noel bundle and also the Christmas Classic dies to create these two cards.   It's a bit of a two for one because I cut out the words Noel to use on one card, and then used the negative on the second card.  The background is embossed with the Merry Melody 3-D embossing folder found in the annual catalog.  I finished off the cards using the Festive Pearls (also found in the annual catalog).

Cute Kit Kat Treat Holder - Boo Kitty!

 Hi all!

I  made this little treat holder for my granddaughters first grade Halloween party and it was so cute and easy to make, that I thought I'd share it with you.

I used a 2" banner punch, a 5/8" heart punch and a 3/4" square punch.  The "Boo" comes from the Tricks and Treats die set from Stampin'Up and the cute little green sparkle nose is the Glitter Sequins from StampinUp.  This kitty holds the snack size of Kit Kat of course!

Trucking Along Bridge Christmas Card

Hi All!

I made this card for my September 2023 class and it was so much fun  to make.  It's quite unique also.  It's an oversized card (5-1/2 x 5-1/2 when folded) which of course requires a special envelope, which I ordered through Amazon.  Click here to order the envelopes from Amazon.
