Thoughtful Branches - I'm still at it!

Good Morning Fellow Stampers!

Today I'm showing you a little thank you that I'm making for the ladies who have signed up to take my Thoughtful Branches Class next week.  Seriously, this stamp set and thinlit bundle is one of the best sets Stampin' Up has ever come up with!    The possibilities are endless... and so much fun!  For the card, I made my own designer series paper - I CASED this idea from fellow demonstrator, Janet Wakeland....

I used a sheet  of 8-1/2 x 11" piece of very vanilla card stock and the leaf stamp in Thoughtful Branches. The ink I used was Peek-A-Boo Peach, Cajun Craze and Night of Navy.  I stamped the leaf randomly all over the sheet of card stock. I then used the dotty cone shaped stamp (It's suppose to be the leaves for the trio of trees stamp).  I think Janet referred to it as fish eggs. ( It does look like fish eggs!).  I inked this up in versa mark, randomly stamped it then embossed with the new copper embossing powder.  Quick, easy and spectacular looking!

I cut it down to make some cards.  This was a suggestion from Stampin' Up:  score a piece of 8-1/2 x 11 at 4-1/4 (long side).  then turn the paper and cut every 2.75 inches - out of one piece of card stock you will get 4,  2-3/4 x 4-1/4 cards.  A bit small but great for a quick thank you card or a card to attach to a gift.

So here is my card:

I used Cajun Craze, and very vanilla.  I cut the cajun craze to 4-1/4 x 2-3/4, and the "DSP" to 4 -1/4 x 1-1/4.  Night of Navy Ink and Cajun Craze were used for the sentiment, which I punched out with the decorative label punch and popped it up on dimensionals.    I could of added the copper thread and maybe some other accents, but sometime you just have to walk away from it and call it done.  It was very quick to put together.  And kind of cute.

I hope my ladies enjoy these little cards - my gift to them!

Have a blessed day, my friends,

Sheryl

Swirly Bird Stamp Set and Video

Good Morning!

Quick post this morning.  I'm getting ready for my Thoughtful Branches classes which are being held next week.  Not too late to sign up!

One of the most popular stamp sets in the new 2016-2017 Annual Catalog has been Swirly Birds and the coordinating dies.  Today I want to share with you a video made by Stampin' Up!  that shows the versatility of this great stamp set.

I love the simple graphics of the Swirly Bird stamp set and the modern, linear lines of the Swirly Scribbles die set.  We have dabbled with this stamp set in some of my classes.

Be assured, you will see this again.  I've got some fall cards designed in my head using this stamp set.  Stay tuned to find out what the heck I'm thinking!

You can buy just the stamp set, or you can just buy the Swirly Scribbles die set, or you could buy both as a bundle and save 10%!  Click on the images below to order directly from my store.   If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!

Have a Blessed Day!

Happy Birthday

Good Morning!

I finished up my classes last week.  I had quite a few kits left over so I've gone ahead and made up the cards... I plan on selling them at my events, or setting up something here in town to sell my many, many, many cards.  And yet, when a birthday comes up, I still have to make a new one from scratch;  one that matches that person's personality.  This is what happened this week.  Not only was it my grandson's 13th birthday, but it was his GOLDEN birthday - that means he turned 13 on the 13th of August.  Here's a picture of him when he was 8 years old and had just caught (won at a Christmas Party Auction) the world's largest Lutefisk (at least that's what we called him).

Here he is today;  his first day as a Morton Junior High 7th grader:  What a difference.  He is growing into an amazing young man!

So to commemorate the great occasion of his 13th birthday,  I made him this card.  Warning;  I used retired stamp sets, but this is just so him I had to do it!

The current product I did use was the Large Number Framelits die and the Gold Glimmer paper.  I also used the Stylized Birthday greeting.  I got the multiple colors on the Happy Birthday by just tapping the stamp pad on the stamp.  used the darkest first, then light, then medium.  It's not perfect, but it will do.  Sorry, I used the 2014-2016 In colors.  My stamp room is in such a mess right now because of my two classes, that these were the only stamp sets that I had available.  However, I feel the bright vibrant colors are what a 13 year old boy is all about.

Not to mention that I made his favorite birthday meal:  chicken enchiladas and chocolate mousse pie.  I don't spoil him at all!

Make someone's day by giving them one of your hand stamped cards!

Treats for my Peeps!

Good Morning!

I'm very busy getting ready for my classes next week.  I have a total of 16 people signed up, which to some may not seem like a lot, but for me it's a record breaker!  I love meeting new people and getting them as excited about card making as I am!  And I've got several new people coming to my classes next week.  So to let them know how much I appreciate everyone coming, I made these little Hershey Kiss tents which I made using the Foxy Friends stamp set and coordinating punch.  I CASE'd (Copy and Share Everything) from Brenda Quintana (qbeequest.blogspot.com).  She is  very talented Stampin'Up! Demonstrator from Canada and the Queen of the Hershey Kiss Holders (she has made several different types of Kiss holders.  Check out her blog here:  qbeequest.blogpost.com)

I made a fox, a racoon, a skunk and a cat.  There are more animals than that that you can make using this stamp set and punch.  Just check it out on Pinterest!  I hope my ladies enjoy them!

I better get cutting...literally - I've got a lot of card stock to cut and put into kits.  Plus I have to write out the recipe's and instructions.  Yikes!

Until later,

Sheryl

Bonus Card plus Additional SU News!

Good Morning!

Yesterday I failed to mention two things:  One was that for those of you who earned Bonus Coupons in July, you can use them now in August - for anything!  You might just want to put them toward that Thoughtful Branches bundle or this which became available August 2nd:

Stampin’ Up! I Stamped This Stamp Set Available Now!

Let everyone know that your projects are made by hand, with love. Available in wood-mount or clear-mount, the I Stamped This Stamp Set includes 16 stamps, giving you a variety of ways to say that your project was created with care using quality Stampin’ Up! products. This set also includes two different sizes of “© Stampin’ Up!” for you to stamp onto projects that you create to sell.

And now, for the August 2016 Bonus card - only available at my Stamping Classroom classes!

Isn't this just yummy looking?  This is a three step stamp, called Sweet Cupcake found on page 23 of the Annual Catalog.  It is also bundled with framelits,  I love the squiggles on the card.  Reminds me of Hostess cupcakes.  I'm also going to show you a new technique on how to make the frosting look real.  So excited to show you this!

Until later,

Sheryl

August Class is now in session!

Good Morning Fellow Stampers!

I am long last back from vacations and birthday month and ready to stamp!  So much news from Stampin' Up!  The release of their Holiday Catalog is right around the corner - Septenber 1st!  And as a demonstrator, I get to order one whole month early.  So I'm busy perusing the catalog and planning my classes for September and October.  Let me know if you want a copy of this catalog.  I didn't have them mailed out because I wanted to give it to you in person!

Second exciting thing from Stampin' Up!  The Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches Bundle is available now through August 31 while supplies last and you'll definitely want to get this set.  It's fantastic!!

Click here to head over to my on line Stampin' Up store to purchase the bundle.  You can also just order the stamp set here or just the thinlits, here.  You save 10% if you buy them together.

I'm so excited about this stamp set and it's versatility, that I have decided to have an extra class in August where we will make 3 different cards using this.  Here is a picture of the samples:

They are fun and easy to do.  You have your choice of 3 dates for the class:
                      Sunday, August 21st 1:30 - 5 pm
                      Tuesday, August 23rd - 10 am - 2 pm
                      Friday, August 26th - 10 am - 2 pm

Cost of the class is $15 for 6 cards with envelopes and detailed instructions.  If you order the bundle from me, the class is FREE!!!  Check out the side bar for a look at the Thoughtful Branches flyer!

I'm still holding my regular August Classes:

                  Sunday, August 7th - 1:30 - 5 pm
                  Tuesday, August 9th - 10 am - 2 pm
                  Wednesday, August 12th - 10 am - 2 pm

Not only do you get to make 6 cards (2 each of 3 designs) with envelopes, and detailed instructions, but there will be a very special bonus card - you only make one of these but that's because it's so stinkin' cute and has a few more bits and bobs on it.  Tune in tomorrow to see what this card will look like!

Contact me by phone or here if you want to sign up for either or both classes.  I need to know about the regular class by this Thursday so I can prepare the kits.  Below are the stamp sets I used in today's cards.

Until tomorrow - brighten someone's day with a card from the heart!
