1st Birthdays

Good Morning!

This weekend, we celebrated my youngest granddaughters 1st birthday.  Her name is Alice Rose and she is a little angel and a bit of a pistol.  She is a little girl who knows what she wants and doesn't like being thwarted in that pursuit. Alice is not a fan of being corrected.  She is full of smiles and mischief, kisses and tantrums.  And she's not adverse to beating on you with a snorkel if you try to take it away from her (that's another story).  Here she is after sampling some birthday cake....

As you can see, she "got into" her cake.  Since this was such a special birthday, I thought it called for a very special card.  In the new 2017-2018 annual catalog, on page 108 is the cutest stamp set and coordinating thinlits, called "A Little Wild".  A perfect description of Alice Rose.  The thinlits are called Little Loves and it cuts out the little animals to make really cute tags.  I made a spinner card from this.  Here is the card:

I cut out the little elephant using designer series paper and then used the gray water color pencil and a blender pen to give the little guy some depth.  For paper I used Sweet Sugar Plum and Rich Razzleberry.  The sparkle paper is the Sweet Sugarplum glimmer sheets that we got free from the 2017 Sale-A-Bration catalog.    Here is a short video showing you the spinner part.

I hope you enjoyed seeing Alice's card!  Check out this stamp set and thinlits - you can buy as a bundle and save 10% as well!

Until later,
Have a Blessed day!

Blog Waddle

Good Morning fellow Stampers!

Today, me and my fellow demonstrators are putting on a Blog Waddle.
It's actually a blog hop, but since we are the Stray Ducklings, we waddle!  Today we are showcasing our cards that we created for our Stray Duckling shoebox swap that was held at Lori's house (aka mama duck) last Saturday.  The only instructions was that we had to use product from the new catalog and to let our imaginations go wild!

Here is my card - it's called a bridge card and my inspiration was from fellow Stampin'Up! demonstrator, Linda Heller.  I used the brand new Delightful Daisy punch, stamp set and coordinating Designer Series Paper:

Front of Card
Back of Card - room for message and signature!

Here is the recipe:

Stamps:  Daisy Delight

Ink:  Basic Grey, Crushed Curry (to stamp daisy's), Old Olive (for leaves)

Card Stock:  Old Olive:  4-1/4 x 8, scored at 1-1/4, 2-1/2, 5-1/2, 6-3/4
                                         1 x 5-1/2 for bridge, 1 x 2 to stamp leaves
                      Whisper White:  3/4 x 5-1/2 for bridge, 2-3/4 x 4 for back of card
                       Delightful Daisy DSP - 1 x 4 (cut 2), 2-3/4 x 4, and 1/2 x 2-3/4 for back of card
                       Daffodile Delight - 3-1/2 x 5-1/2 - stamp two daisy's, punch out

Other Stuff:  Daisy Punch
                      Dimensionals
3/8" Crushed Curry mini Chevron ribbon
                      Gold Faceted Gems
                      Wink of Stella - clear

This card, when folded to either side, fits in a standard envelope - A fun and unique card!  Give it a try!

You arrived here from Bonnie    Here is the next blog to waddle to:  Lori

Below is a list of everyone participating.  Click on the links below if you want to waddle out of sequence:

A Few of My Favorite Things

Good Morning!

Today I thought I would share with you some of my favorite things from the new catalog.  First and foremost is the Eastern Beauty Bundle Suite.  This stamp set and coordinating thinlits rock!  Here are a couple of  cards that I made with this set - so easy - so beautiful!

The gold, vinyl stickers are beyond wonderful!  They add sheen and pop to your card.

Here is a video from Stampin'Up! hightlighting this wonderful bundle.

My second favorite item I will be sharing with you today, is the Love Today planner kit.  For those of us obsessed with organization, plans and lists, this is for you.  And it's so cute!  And you can customize it.  It will become a diary and a memory album as well.  I have ordered this, but haven't received it yet.  In the meantime, here is a Stampin'Up Video to familiarize you with this product.

Until tomorrow and some more favorites,
Happy Stamping!

New Catalog Review, Continued

Hi stampers!

Today, I'm going to share with you two product video's from Stampin Up highlighting new products in the 2017-2018 Catalog.  The first one is a brand new stamp and concept - a hologram effect card.  The stamp set and dies are called You Move Me bundle.  Check it out:

The next video is all about Stampin'Up kits - Soft Sayings, which is an all inclusive kit.  That means you get everything - stamps, a block, and all accessories to make 20 cards.  This makes a great gift for the new stamper to the seasoned one.  It's a quick and fun way to get a stash of cards for many occassions.  Watch the video for more information and inspiration:

Now for an update on my open house:  Here is a picture of most of my retired stamps (sorry to say, this is not all of them).

A lot of these will be on sale at my open house.  Come early for best selection and you will have a better chance of snapping it up before I change my mind.  I love each and everyone of my stamp sets and it's hard for me to let them go, but I know they will be going to good homes.  This picture also doesn't show the Designer Series Paper, the ink pads or the accessories like ribbon and thinlits and framelits. (yeah, I gotta let some of them go too).

Remember, Open House and Catalog Launch, Thursday and Friday, June 8th and 9th - my house.

Until later,
Go stamp something!!

I thought you would enjoy a video made by Stampin Up of one of the new product bundles, Oh So Eclectic (this is first on my order list) - Enjoy!
