January 2022 On-Line Class - Cards #4 and #5

Hi All!

Today we are going to complete this class with cards 4 and 5.  So let's get started!

Card #4

This is another rainbow card.  I got this idea from Tami White - she had this card on her blog and it was such a great fun-fold card and such a happy card, I just had to share it with you.  This card really highlights the Designer Series Paper, Sunshine & Rainbows, found in the  Sale-a-Bration flyer and is free with a $50 order before Tax and S&H (January - February 2022)- Here is the card and it's inside:

Cute, isn't it?  This would certainly brighten up anyone's day!

Card #5

This card was inspired by Julie Davison again!  She is a wonderful resource for card sketches and new ideas on how to use Stampin'Up product.  

Here is the card:  This one has a simple but elegant layout and it too highlights the Designer Series Paper.  The DSP that I used for this is found in the January - June 2022 Stampin'Up Mini catalog and it is called Flowering Fields - it's absolutely gorgeous!

January 2022 Class is Now in Session!

 Hi all!

Due to the spike in COVID cases here in Central Illinois, plus, I've had a very bad non-COVID cold, I'm going to be moving my monthly classes to on-line for the next couple of months.  

It's wintry and blustery here, so what better way to get out of the after Christmas doldrums but to make cards!  Especially cards that have hearts, rainbows and flowers (plus a turtle).  And, they feature several items from the new January - June Stampin'Up! Mini catalog!  Woo-Hoo!  

Here are the cards:

I'm really changing things up this month.  I will be doing free tutorial videos on each one of these cards.  I am also going to be offering for sale the supplies to make these 5 cards:  precut card stock and embellishments.  Sorry, can't stamp them for you, but you can get the supplies and use whatever stamps you have on hand to complete them.  A challenge!  Let's see how creative you can get. 

Cost of the card kit supplies is $15, plus $2 shipping and handling.  Just let me know if you are interested.  I am going to begin the videos this week (please give me a few days...I still have a terrible cold and don't want to have a coughing fit right in the middle of filming!  I will post on my blog when the videos will be available.  They will appear here as well on the My Stamping Classroom YouTube channel.

January 2022 Stray Duckling Blog Waddle - Sale-a-Bration

 Welcome to our Sale-A-Bration January Blog Waddle!

This month we are highlighting the product in the Sale-A-Bration catalog - Items that are free with every $50 product purchase (Level 1) or $100 product purchase (Level 2).

Today I'm highlighting two of the most popular items in the catalog;  the Sunshine & Rainbow 6 x 6 paper the the every adorable Awesome Otters (who doesn't love an otter?).  

The Sunshine and Rainbow card was inspired by Tami White -  it's a cute fun fold and happy card.  I must confess that I was beginning to come down with a terrible cold so I went to YouTube and Pinterest for my inspiration.  Here is the card:  

It's a bit of a fancy fold and is called a Cross Over Gatefold Card.  Here is the link to Tami's post.

It's easy and fun to make and uses that oh so cute Sunshine and Rainbows paper.  I also used Bermuda Bay, Magenta Madness and Basic White card stock.  

The second card, I used the Awesome Otters stamp set.  Apparently otters are the in thing these days...even the United States Post Office has issued otter stamps....

For this card, I was inspired by Angie Juda...she loves otters too!  Not only did I use the otters, but this card features the Pattern Party 12 x 12 paper which earned when you have an order of $150 or more.  It's a wonderful pack of paper with bright, vibrant colors and lots of sheets!  

Originally I wanted to use the Simply Marbelous 6X6 paper which is in the Sale-A-Bration catlog;  I really thought I had ordered this, like with my first pre-order.  I searched for an hour until I finally looked it up, and nope...never ordered it.  I'm blaming the drugs that I'm taking for my cold.....

Anyway, here are the cards;

Aren't they cute?  I love coloring them with my Stampin'Blends.  The card base is Misty Moonlight...trying to use that as much as I can before it retires in June...It's one of my favorite In Colors. Oh, and I used the blue self adhesive gems...Can't think of their name now, but it will be listed below.  What do you know...that really is their name!
