Blog Waddle Alert - Celebrating Retirement!

Hi Fellow Stampers

Today is another one of our famous Blog Waddles.  This month we are celebrating the retirement of some of our favorite stamp sets and colors.  So waddle on this way and see what I've made:

The Tutti-Frutti Suite, found on page 29 of the Occasions catalog, is retiring.  It has the Fruit Basket stamp set and the Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack (Bundle), a 6x6 designer series paper and several other coordinating items.    Check it out at the end of my blog post.    When I first looked at this suite, I loved it for it's fresh, vibrant colors that just shouted spring and summer.  But I will tell you I hesitated because of it's small stature.  The punches and stamps are tiny.  However, when I started using it, oh wow!  Easy to stamp and punch and what beautiful cards.  Below are some of my samples.  I couldn't stop making cards, especially the adorable 3x3 cards!

Here's the group of cards that I made.

Now let's check them out up-close.   The first two here are ones I cased from Kay Kalthoff.  I changed them slightly;  She used Night of Navy and I used the retiring Dapper Denim.  (Night of Navy looks better).  Notice the cross hatching...that was done with the simple stripe embossing folder.  Kay explains it all in her post.  Here is a link to her website to check it out.

This card was designed by Angie Kennedy Juda.  She offered a Tutti-Frutti class which I purchased.  Isn't his card cute?  And so easy to make!  There are 4 more adorable cards in her class.

The 3x3 cards are my designs.  I couldn't stop stamping and punching the little fruits!  So I decided to make adorable 3x3 gift cards.  I especially loved the little watermelons!

I hope you enjoyed these cards.  It's a really fun stamp and punch set that inspires!  The suite is currently still available until May 31st.   Look at the images below to see the full suite.  If you wish to purchase anything, click on the image and it will take you to my on-line store.  Happy Stamping!

Now on to my other duckling friends:

Here are the new color groupings and a complete list of all the colors, both new and old:

The new design pads and the new colors will be available June 1st, 2018.  I will be ordering catalogs May 1st and hope to get them into your hands as soon as possible!

May 2018 Card Class is now in Session

Good Morning!

Today I'm going to share with you the cards we will be making in my May 2018 card class.  I decided to do something different so we are going to do a one sheet wonder class with note cards (1/2 sheet Designer Series Paper, Petal Passion, and 10 notecards and envelopes)

and using the Petal Palette stamp set and coordinating thinlits.  Plus we will be making a cute purse clutch to put 5 notecards and envelopes in to give as a gift.  Plus a cute little bag to give as a gift as well.

Here are the cards:

And here is the clutch purse and gift bag:

Class Dates and Times:
Friday, May 18th - 10am - 2pm
Sunday, May 20th - 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm
Tuesday, May 22nd - 10am - 4:30 pm

Call to make reservations by Tuesday, May 8th and to find out further details.

Coffee and Cards

I'm trying something new.  I'm going to have an additional class per month - I will be highlighting a product, technique, tool or basic stamping.  We will only be making 2 cards and I'm limiting the class size to 4 people.  I will have as many classes as people want to take, but each class will have only 4.  I'm doing this because in my larger classes I'm unable to fully teach some techniques or explain a product.  I want you to enjoy card making and all the wonderful products that Stampin'Up offers and I feel I can do this in a smaller class and limiting myself to certain topics.  Plus you get to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea or two.

This month, the technique is alcohol markers:  how to use them.  These are the two cards we will be making:

The dates and place of the classes:
Tuesday, May 15th 10am - 12 noon
Wednesday, May 16th - 6:30pm-8:30pm

I hope you can join me!

Have a blessed day!
