Good Morning Friends!
Just a quick post and a reminder that today is the last day of the 15% off all Stampin'Up! stamps. So if you've had your eye on a favorite stamp set, today is the day to order it. Either access my on-line store to order, or call or email me to place your order!
Today I'm dropping Chloe off at Play All Day Doggie Day Care (the happiest place on earth, next to Disney World), and I've got a doctor's appointment to go over the MRI that I had last week. I'm all ready for my class next Tuesday, other than making the Caramel Corn. This is going to be a special treat for my guests, as my way of thanking them for choosing me as their Stampin'Up! demonstrator. I need to make more Halloween Treat holders for my grandchildren. Gotta get over to the apple orchard too. Need more apples and cider! So I better get cracking on my busy day.
Enjoy this fall weather and by all means, stamp something!

Some Thanksgiving and Christmas
A Hosted Class and Custom Design: I got a call from one of my ladies the other day and she wanted to host a class. She has invited 5 of her friends and has asked me to design 3 cards for them to make. Since she is doing all the work of getting people together, she will be the "hostess" of my class and all orders resulting from that class will go toward her hostess credits (if the orders are over $150 before S&H and taxes).
The class is next Tuesday. She wanted one Thanksgiving card and two different designs of Christmas, which they would make two of each. She wanted a religious card and the other card, she wanted it to say something about Christmas - none of this Happy Holiday businesss! Here are the cards that I designed. I hope she likes them!
The last card shown, of the Holy Family is from a stamp set called "All Ye Faithful" and is a CASE from the Holiday Catalog, page 21. I changed it up just a bit to make it a little easier for my class. You have to use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get everything lined up on that tag. I also used the Boughs and Berries textured embossing folder and the Winterland Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack. The snowflake aka star is the Snowflake elements all found on page 23 in the Holdiay Catalog.
I think these Christmas cards will find their way into my Christmas Card Buffet which will be held on Friday, November 20th.
Have a creative afternoon with friends! If you would like to host a class so that you can earn hostess credits, please contact me and we can set up an arrangement.

Night of Navy Card stock and ink, and embossed the Dove of Peace Stamp with silver. Finished off with silver cording. |

Happy Halloween
I just love making treats for Halloween, especially for my grandson Cody's classroom. Ever since he has been in pre school, I have handmade some kind of Stamping' Up! treat holder. He is now in 6th grade, and I don't think he will want me to do anything this year. :( However, I do have a 3 year old granddaughter who is in pre-school (she calls it pretty-school), and I'm gearing up for her class!
The treats in the photo below are what I made for my card class attendee's for October. Aren't they cute? The cloths pin witches hat has several video's out on how to make them. It's made with black glitter paper, the tree punch and circle punches. Go to YouTube and search for Dawn Griffith - Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. She has a terrific video out there showing how to not only make the hat, but the bow as well. (using the bow builder punch, which just happens to be part of the weekly deal this week!)
The treat base is a 6 x 6 piece of Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalog, called Happy Haunting. At our last quarterly demonstrators meeting, Lori Helvick showed us how to make these cute little treat holders. You can go to her blog and view her video on how to make these at createwithlori2.blogspot.com. I just turned mine the other way and decorated it. There is room for two treats. I'm cheap. I only gave my people one Ghirardelli.

They are really fun and easy to make. Kind of addicting. I may or may not do a short video on how to make these cute little treats for that special little spook in your life.

Christmas Gift Card Holders
Just a quick post this morning. Last Saturday, my group of Stampin'Up! Demonstrators, aka the Stray Ducklings got togther for our quarterly meeting. At these meetings we share business tips, blogging tips and all kinds of other things. Debbie Kramer showed us her home made "Photo Booth", a booth for taking perfect pictures of your cards! It's made out of a tri fold presentation board, some fun foam, vellum card stock and a couple of lights. I took pictures of a few cards in there just to test it out.
These two gift card holders were made by Mary Booker, inspired by Dawn Griffith. They are made using Stampin'Up regular size envelopes. Cute, huh? And dig the flawless background and foreground.
The cards are very easy to make. I'm sure these will find a spot in my December stamping classes!
So now, here is the picture of the photo booth:
You'd never now this was what was behind those cards! I can't wait to make mine!
By the way, if you would like to join my team and become a part of a great group of demonstators, please contact me. I will give mentor you through the signing up process and give you all the support and information that you need to either get your business up and running. Or if you just want to join Stampin'Up to get the great demonstrator discount, that is welcomed as well. Either way, you can join me and the Stray Ducklings and get to know a great group of women and have a great deal of fun as well!
Until later my friends, keep stamping!

I've got my October class, Fall into Christmas, is ready to go. There is still time to sign up. Email me to sign up if you haven't already: to: Sheryl - I want to make cards

Sunday, October 18th - 1pm until 5 pm
You will be making 3 fall/Thanksgiving cards, and 2 Christmas cards plus a Christmas tag. The shaker card and the tags are from the Holiday Catalog, and are kits found on page 4 and 5. I just wanted to give you a taste of doing a kit. They are wonderfully easy, and you get some spectacular cards and tags. Plus, there is a lot of "stuff" left over that you can use on other projects! In fact, I'm so excited about the shaker card kit, that I am offering two additional classes in November. More about that later in this post. Here are the cards that we will be making :
Pretty cool, huh? I'm especially excited about the woodlands embossing folder card - looks like a water color painting doesn't it? And it's very easy to do. It is definitely a WOW card.
Ok, now for November classes. I am offering 2 different classes in November:
Kit Class - "To You and Yours Shaker Card Project Kit" - November 8th and 12th
The class is free. All you have to do is buy the kit from me. The cost for the kit is $24 - total price with shipping and handling and state sales tax comes to $28.18. I will provide the stamps, ink and any specialized glue. I will also show you how to change it up a bit to make it your very own!
Classes will be held on Sunday, November 8th from 1 - 5 pm or Thursday, November 17th from 10 am until 2 pm. Email me here to sign up
Christmas All the Way Card Buffet
November 17th, 20th and 22nd
Just to shake things up a bit and let you get more bang for your buck, I will be offering a Christmas Card Buffet. I will design 10 different Christmas cards and put everything you need in a shoebox like box plus instructions. One box per card. You choose which cards you want to make. Minimum order is 5 cards. You can make 5 cards, you can make 10 cards or you can make 8. The choice is up to you. Cost is $2 per card, which includes the envelope. Once you've made your card, you return the box and pick another one. Since this will take considerable room - I will be having this card buffet somewhere other than my house. Haven't found the venue yet, but will let you know. Email me here to sign up.

Welcome to the Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle!
Good Morning Friends!

I belong to a group of Central Illinois Stampin'Up! demonstrators, We called our selves the "Stray Ducklings" and would like to present to you our first Stray Duckling Waddle!
This is the card that I made for our swap that we had for our quarterly meeting, held yesterday.
I was inspired by Linda Heller, to make this card. I used Bermuda Bay and the (wonderful) thick Whisper White Card stock. The Decorative ornaments stamp and framelitts. Silver foil paper and the silver cord set it off. I also used the stripes impressions folder. Bermuda bay ink and pool party were used on the ornament. And no card is complete with out a rhinestone!
Hope you enjoyed my card!
Thanks for stopping by today. You arrived here from Mary Booker's Blog. Now, on to the next blogger Sue Boerner
Here are all the Ducklings that are participating in todays Waddle!
Blessings,
Sheryl
