Eden's Garden - Available Now

 Good Morning!

I wanted to share with you some cards that I have designed using the new Eden't Garden Collection - available now until January 3rd, 2022.  The Eden's Garden Bundle, will be in the new January - June Mini catalog coming out January 3rd, but the Designer Series Paper, the Cotton Paper and the Garden Gems will not.  Don't miss out on the gems and the Designer Series paper!  They are gorgeous!

Here is a link to the whole collection and it's pieces:  Click Here for Eden't Garden Collection

Here are 3 cards that I have made with this collection:

The wreath is stamped using 2 of the images from the set...I cased this idea from Julie Davison.

I created this card for my Stray Duckling shoe box swap.  This is an arrow card and it's so easy to make and beautiful to look at!

Eden's Garden even works for Christmas!  This is a Book Binder card and again, I made the wreath using two of the stamps from the set, following Julie Davison's instructions.

I hope you enjoyed today's cards.  Be sure to order this paper and the gems before January 3rd, or while supplies last.

November Blog Waddle from the Stray Ducklings - Happy Holidays!

 Hi All!

Welcome to our November Blog Waddle - the Holidays are upon us!

The inspiration for this blog hop is the Holidays!  I use Pinterest to give me inspiration when designing my cards.  Here is a card that I found to be so beautiful in it's understatement of images:

This card uses the peaceful season Designer series paper.  The catalog does not do it justice.  It's in blacks and grays and silver, which you think, not too christmassy.  But when put together with the coordinating stamp set, it is gorgeous and so unique looking.  I used Evening Evergreen as the base of my card.  The layering piece is Smokey Slate.  I stamped the cabin in Memento Tuxedo black and die cut the trees in Evening Evergreen.  The sentiment was stamped in Evening Evergreen and I punched it out with the Essential Tag Punch - it fit perfectly!

Here is another card I made using the Gingerbread and Peppermint paper - using an technique that has been around a while - the penny spinner.  This card delights both old and young.  It's so much fun to watch it spin!  And it's easy to make.  There is a die in Beautiful Trees die set that works perfectly to cut the slit in the card.  I actually used the retired Word Window Punch.   Sandwich a dimensional between two pennies and the card front.  Give it a good shake and voila!  We have a spinner card.  I originally got the idea from Dawn Olchefske.

Here is her YouTube video explaining on make the spinning mechanism on the card and the shaking technique (essential to make it spin!)

Here is my card.  I cut out a star cookie with Cinnamon Cider card stock and the frosting with the coordinating die, out of basic white..  I sponged the edges of the cookie to make them looked more "baked".

Both of these cards were from my October 2021 class.  You too can make beautiful cards like these with my classes.  Contact me if you would like to experience the world of card making...I'll warn you.  It's addicting!

Hope you enjoyed my cards today.  Waddle on over to Nancy Legate  and see what inspiring cards she has!

Here is a list of all my dear Ducklings who are participating in this months blog hop:

May you have a wonderful and blessed Holiday Season.

Blessings,

Sheryl

November Class is Now In Session!

 Hi all!

I'm really excited about this months cards - we are going to do a Stamp-A-Stack of Christmas cards!  I'm using a layout called 6 x 6 wonder - you take 6, 6x6 pieces of double sided designer paper and make 14 cards from these with 5 different layouts.  I'm taking 2 Christmas 6x6 papers, the Gingerbread and Peppermint DSP from the Winter Mini-Catalog, and also the Tidings of Christmas 6 x6 paper found in the annual catalog.  Here are the two types of cards you can make:

Gingerbread and Peppermint:  Colors are Old Olive, Basic White, Real Red and Cinnamon Cider.

Tidings of Christmas:  Colors are Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand and Basic White with some Gold Foil thrown in for impact.

In this class you will receive:
 - 14 card bases
 - 14 envelopes
 - 1/4 package of  Designer Series Paper (12 sheets of 6 x 6 paper)
 - 2 yards of red satin ribbon (Gingerbread class)
- 1/2 sheet of gold foil paper (Tidings of Christmas class)
- 1 packet or Red Rhinestones
 - 2 sheets of Stampin’Dimensionals

Cost is $35.

For either one, there are 5 different layouts.

Let me know ASAP if you are taking the class and which Class - Tidings or Gingerbread.  I need to order supplies.

Dates & Times - Since this is a busy season, I’m offering several dates and times.  You will need to bring your paper snips and adhesive to class.

Tuesday, November 16th - my home 10am - 2pm (limit 6)
Friday, November 19th - Morton Christian Church - 10am - 2pm
Saturday, November 27th - my home - 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm  (limit 6)
Tuesday, November 30th - my home 10am - 2pm (limit 6)

Don't let the number of cards to make intimidate you....the fun is in the stamping and deciding the elements to use and the paper.  Everyone's will look a little different.

Let me know if you want to take the class and when.

Hope to see you soon in class!
Blessings,

Sheryl

It's Spooky Season!

 Welcome to my haunted blog....ooooooo!!

I wanted to share with you today what I've been working on for my grand kiddos for Halloween.  These tombstone boxes can be found in the Holiday Stampin'Up mini catalog.   I CASE'd felllow demonstrator Tammy White with using the brick 3-d embossing folder and sponging to bring out the texture.  I also lined the inside of the box with red card stock and some ruffle ribbon - looks like the inside of a coffin!  Plus I put an little extra scare into it.

I also made some fabric baskets to put the treats in for my favorite spookables.  Here is what they look like:

Aren't they cute?  I filled them with trinkets like pencils, little coloring books, snap bracelets and glow sticks...plus some candy of course.  To top it off, I put in the pumpkin treat holders from the September 21 Paper Pumpkin...Just to remind the kids that we live in the Pumpkin Capital of the World!

I really enjoyed making the baskets and the tomb stone boxes!  Stampin'Up makes decorating and gifting for halloween so easy.

Below are the items that I used, just in case you want to make some of your own!

Have a great day and welcome all your little spookables!

October Blog Waddle - Thankful for You

Hi all!

Welcome to our October 2021 Blog Waddle with the Stampin' Stray Ducklings.

This months theme is Thanksgiving or Thankfulness.  I try to wake up every morning being thankful.  Here is my card.

This is the inside...

I used the new stamp set, Pretty Pumpkins and some of the beautiful Cork Specialty Paper.  If you haven't yet, you really need to check out that paper.  It's thin, easy to cut and it has the feel and texture of cork.  Beautiful! At the end of the post is a list of all the items that I used.

Feel inspired?  Wait until you see who is next for more beautiful cards...Nancy Legate

Here is a list of all the participating ducklings

Sheryl Diemer
