The End of Birthday Season

 Hi All!

The last couple of months I have been sharing birthday cards that I have been making for my  immediate family.  Their birthdays go from the end of June until the middle of September.  Today I'm going to show you the last 2 birthday cards that I made for my two grandsons:  Rowan who turns 4 and Kale who turns 7.  I think I ended the season on a real high note.

First, here is Rowan's card.  I used the sheep stamp and matching die set from Sale-a-Bration (love it!) and i put it on a wobble, so he can make that sheep dance!  I created the pretty balloons using another Sale-a-Bration stamp set,  Textures and Frames.  The Happy Birthday comes from the Hey Birthday Chick, found in the annual catalog.

Here is Kale's card.  This one I CASE'd from Lynn Dunn.  It's a very easy shaker card - so easy to make and so much fun!  Here is the link to Lynn's video.

I used the Ice Cream Stamps and punch and the retired DSP that was in the last catalog (sorry, but it works so well with the stamp set).  Colors are Cajun Craze, and Bermuda Bay.

So that is the end of what I like to call Birthday Season.

Let me know if you have any questions or need more information.

Blessings,

Sheryl

July Stray Duckling Blog Waddle - Summer

Hello again!  Welcome to another inspirational Blog Waddle by the Stray Ducklings of Central Illinois!

This month's theme is anything that means summer to us.  For me, it's birthdays!  We have SOOO many birthdays in June, July, August and September...June 28th, youngest granddaughter, July 11th, my oldest granddaughter, July 12th- my oldest son, July 18th, my husband, July 28th my youngest son, July 29th my grandson.  My dad's birthday was also on July 29th.  August 3rd, my brother-in-law, August 13th another grandson, August 24th, my daughter-in-law and in September on the 7th and 13th - 2 more grandsons.  Wow!

So I'm going to show you some birthday cards that I have made for various grandchildren, children,  and acquaintances.

Here is the first one:  A little Puffin and tie Die... made with the delightful 2021 in-colors of Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia.

The second card, I actually sent to my aunt who turned 92 in May.  I just wanted to remind her that she is still a spring chicken!

The third card is a fun fold flip card and using one of my favoirte stamp sets and punches - sweet ice cream!

I want to show you is one I made for my 5 year old granddaughter.  It's a diamond pop-up card and believe it or not, she was impressed...warning - I used a retired stamp set.

The last card is what I made for my 9 year old granddaughter.  My first pet was a turtle...his name was Wiggles.  Here's to you Wiggles and Maelyn!

Well, that's about it.  Hope you enjoyed my endless summer birthday cards.  Youe next hop will be to Nancy Legate

April 2021 Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle - Mother's Day

Welcome to the April Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle!

Happy Spring!  This month's theme is Mother's Day or Birthday!  So of course, I did both.  Here are my cards for today:

On the second card, I used the rainbow glimmer paper to create the butterfly - beautiful!  I also used Just Jade ribbon and ink.

This card can be used for a variety of occasions....not just Mother's Day.  It would be a beautiful anniversary, birthday or even a sympathy card.  I just love the flowering vine dies.  So sad that they are retiring!  They come in 3 shapes - rectangle, oval and round and they match up perfectly with our Stitched So Sweetly dies, Layering Ovals and Layering Circle dies.

Here is my free inspiration sheet if you wish to make this card:

I hope you enjoyed today's card.  The next blog to visit is:  Nancy Legate

May you have a wonderful day and remember;  keep on stampig!

Blessings,

Sheryl

Birthday Fun

Good Morning Stampers!

Who doesn't always need birthday card?  Seems like a month doesn't go by that I should send a birthday card, and what better way of saying Happy Birthday then with a hand made card?

Stampin' Up has made it easy for us too!  In the 2017 Occasions Catalog, there are many choices!  For example on page 5 , you will see the Party Animal Birthday Suite.  Here are all the coordinating colors, stamps and accessories that you need to make beautiful, unique cards!  The coordinating Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits feature a pop-up die.  Here are some samples:

And here is a short video showing you how to make these pop-up cards:

Hope you enjoyed this little video.  Tomorrow, more birthday card ideas!

Have a blessed day and go stamp something!
