October Class is Now in Session (or will be)

Hi All!

1.  October Class - Not Your Average Christmas Card

I had my in person card class in September - 12 people signed up and I had 3 different sessions with 4 people max in each.  It seemed to go well!  So I’m going to try it again in October.  I already have the cards designed.  I just have to figure out the dates.  Here are the cards.  I will again be making video's and free pdf downloads of the card recipes for those of you who can't make the class.   I call this “not your average Christmas card” class:

We have a slim card, a cube card, a star card and a teepee card!  Should be fun!  I will email a bit later the dates and times, once I figure it out.  It will be toward the end of the month and I’m probably going to limit it to 3 sessions or 4 people each.  I’m just waiting to see how the COVID-19 plays out in Tazewell County.

Stay tuned also for a Kit class, which I’m in the process of developing, using the really cute Tag Buffet Kit:  I’m going to show you how to make these into quick, cute cards!

September Card Class - Card #2

 Hello!

Here is card #2 in my September class series....This one shows a creative use of Designer Series Paper and it uses one of my favorite stamp sets, Love of Leaves.  Here is the card:

I love the embossing element to the leaf.  I also used the acorn trinkets that are part of the Gilded Autumn Suite.  However, I will warn you, the acorn is very heavy and very round.  You would have to send this card through the mail with a padded envelope, or better yet, hand deliver.  At the end of my video I will show you some alternative ideas if you don't wish to use the acorn.

Here is the free downloadable recipe sheet:

Here is the video on how to create this card:

Thanks for stopping by today.  Next is card #3.  You won't want to miss this one!

September Card Class - Card #1

 Hey all!

Here is card #1 for my September 2020 card class.  The theme is Fall Celebration - So I have a 3 cards that can be used as Fall cards or Thanksgiving and one Halloween card.  I also used a lot of product from the Gilded Autumn Suite especially the the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper.

So here is the first card - very, very easy to do.

You can use any of the copper and gold designs in the paper pack.  What makes this card especially pretty is the Gold Card and Envelope cards, found on page 51.  These are vanilla cards with gold detailing and gold envelopes.  You get 10 cards for $10.  A photo fits perfectly within the frame or designer series paper!  Really elegant and really easy to make.

Here is the free recipe:

And here is the video.

Hope you enjoyed today's card.

Sheryl

August 2020 Card Class - Card #2

 Hi All!

Here is a fun card.  It's called a double triangle fold.  I used the really cute Warm and Toasty stamp set from Stampin'Up and the designer series paper, Heart Warming Hugs.  Both are found in the 2020 Winter Mini Catalog.

Here is the envelope that I stamped using 2 images from that stamp set:

Click here to view and download the recipe sheet and what supplies I used:

This is a 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 card which fits perfectly into an A2 envelope.  I also used several Stampin'Blends to color the reindeer and of course I had to bling it up with Wink of Stella.  The ribbon is Real Red 3/8" Sheer ribbon.  I used several dies:  Stitched Shapes, Layering Ovals, Rectangle Stitched dies and Tasteful Label Dies.  All of the supplied are listed below.  If you wish to order, just click on the image and you will be directed to my on-line store.

Here is the video where I walk you through Card #2, step by step on how to make this card.....

Hope you enjoyed todays card.

Check back Wednesday for Card #3!

Don't miss this Class

Good Morning!

I'm doing an extra class this month - I'm calling it All Occassion Cards, Part II.  We will be making a Birthday Card, Get Well Card and Sympathy Card, all using my favorite Stampin' Up! product.  Don't be intimidated!  All three cards are easy.   If you have never stamped before, you will be able to make these cards!

My classes are held once a month - I offer three different times and dates - you make 6 cards with envelopes;  2 each of three designs.  One to give and one to keep!  Plus you will get a print out of the recipes and cutting instructions for all three designs.  Add to that the fun and fellowship of taking a class with fellow card enthusiasts and you have a winning combination.  I charge only $15 for my class. Next class is Tuesday, May 24th.  Contact me today if you want to sign up - I have room!

Thanks for stopping by today!
