September Card Class - Card #4
Hello all!
Today's card is the last in my series of 4 cards for September. This one celebrates Halloween and uses a unique origami technique called Folded Frame. I also used the adorable Give-a-Hoot stamp set. The color combination is fun using Rich Razzleberry, Cajun Craze, Pretty Peacock and Basic Black. Here is the card:
I got the idea for the folded frame from Lisa Curcio. Here is the link to her video on how to make this. It definetly gives your card some impact!

September Card Class - Card #2
Hello!
Here is card #2 in my September class series....This one shows a creative use of Designer Series Paper and it uses one of my favorite stamp sets, Love of Leaves. Here is the card:
I love the embossing element to the leaf. I also used the acorn trinkets that are part of the Gilded Autumn Suite. However, I will warn you, the acorn is very heavy and very round. You would have to send this card through the mail with a padded envelope, or better yet, hand deliver. At the end of my video I will show you some alternative ideas if you don't wish to use the acorn.
Here is the free downloadable recipe sheet:
Here is the video on how to create this card:
Thanks for stopping by today. Next is card #3. You won't want to miss this one!
Blessings,
Sheryl

September 2020 Stray Duckling Waddle - 3D Projects
Hello All!
Welcome to the September Blog Waddle of the Central Illinois Stray Ducklings! This months inspiration is 3D projects and I got a bit carried away. I love to make little treats in the fall for my favorite Trick or Treaters and for placing on my Thanksgiving Table. So I've done 3 different types of treat holders, using the great products from the Stampin'Up Winter/Holiday Catalog.
The first set of samples I have are the cute little treat boxes found on page 70 of the Stampin'Up Aug - Dec 2020 mini catalog or aka Winter/Holiday Mini. It comes as a bundle, (stamp set and dies - you save 10% on both is purchased as a bundle) although you can purchase the items separately.
All you need is a 6x6 piece of either cardstock or Designer Series paper. Here are my samples...I did a variety to show how versatile this box and stamp set is! These are so much fun to decorate!
The second treat box type I made, I got my inspiration from Brenda Quintana when she used the Everything Essential Bundle, found on page 61 of the 2020 Holiday Catalog:
She demonstrates how you can use the Essential Tag punch to make cute treat holders here.
Here are my little treat holders that I made and decorated, using her instructions:

September Class is Now in Session
Welcome!
I'm going to continue to offer 4 card designs per month with a video. This month's theme is fall and Halloween. This is my second favorite time of the year, at least it used to be. Not so much going on this fall, but I look forward to the beautiful colors and the crisp air. The only problem with it, is that winter comes right after and I do. not. like. winter.... Guess I'm getting old because I do not like to be cold! My favorite time of year is spring...things are coming to life and greening up and the warm sun and balmy breezes....I digress.
Here are the cards I will be making and demonstrating for you via video on YouTube...
These are fun and easy cards to make and you will learn how to make a buckle card, and a folded frame card. I think you will really enjoy these!
I am also going to start in person classes this month. I'm just putting it out there and I need you to let me know if you feel safe enough to do this. Here is what to expect:
- I will have the classes in my home, only 4 people can come at one time.
- The class will be 3 hours. No lunch.
- You do not have to wear a mask while stamping, although I will wear one the entire time
- You will make the usual amount of cards - 2 of 3 different designs and one bonus card
- Cost will be $20
