Hi my lovely crafting friends! This months Stray Duckling Blog waddle is a farewell to the 2022-2024 In-Colors and to the retiring products in the mini and annual catalog (2023-2024). Sigh! It's so hard to say good bye!
First of all, I think the 2022 - 2024 In-Colors of Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis were my all time favorite color combinations. So vibrant. Here are a couple of cards I made using this pallet. The Playful Piggy stamp set is long gone, but the Sending Smiles Stamp Set and Dies were also my favorite. I will probably keep this one around for a while.
Don't these colors just cheer you up immediately?
Now for my favorite stamp sets that are retiring:
Country Bouquet - Stamped in Sweet Sorbet:
Beautiful Balloons and Bright and Beautiful 6x6 DSP - Such an easy way to make a spectacular card!
A really sad face about the retirement of this stamp set and dies: Notes of Nature Bundle. Nature's Sweetness 12 x 12 DSP is sticking around - so happy for this! I also used the 12 x 12 Distressed gold on this card and unfortunately, that is retiring as well.
And lastly, Biggest Wish Stamp set - I loved the bold graphics of this set. So sad to see it go. Also the Basic Border dies are retiring as well - I loved these dies - they were not only versital, but it was a quick and easy way to jazz up your card. I got the Birthday die from the Just Wanted to Say die set, which thankfully is being carried to the new catalog.
That's all - there are many more stamp sets, dies and accessories I will miss, but I am also looking forward to the new adventure in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog which will be available May 1st.
Hope you enjoyed my walk through memory lane. Here are the rest of the Ducklings to check out:
I'm really excited to offer you these cards in my April 2024 classes. Some are a fond farewell to retiring products in the 2023-2024 annual catalog and Winter mini - some are some classics that are sticking around. Here are the samples of the cards we will be making:

This month we are continuing in our exploration of the January - April Stampin'Up! Mini Catalog.
I selected two cards to share with you that are whimsical. The first one is fun to make and fun to receive for a birthday.
I used the Ice Cream Swirl Bundle as well as the Lighter Than Air 6x6 Designer Series Paper as well as the Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots and twine. How much fun is this!
The second card, and I think this stamp bundle may be my all time favorite is Cutest Cows Bundle...Stamp set and cow builder punch. Who doesn't love cows! There is a great variety of different images and cows with sweet faces in this set. Plus you get a punch in the bundle! Who doesn't love building a cow?
I hope you enjoyed todays cards. Let me know what you think in the comments. I love hearing from you.
Here is a list of my fellow ducklings who also have some card inspiration for you....
Hi all! I have a special treat for you for the month of March. We will be making 6 Easter cards (or any other sentiment you would like) from 1 sheet of 12 x 12 designer series paper. Specifically, we will be using the Perennial Lavender 12 x 12 DSP, found in the January - April 2024 Stampin'Up mini catalog.
I got the idea from Canadian Stampin'Up demonstrator, Sherry Roth who designed this clever technique. Her blog and a video can be found here by clicking on this link.
I changed things up a bit by making them Easter cards. Here are the 6 cards plus the bonus card.
The bonus card is CASE'd from Susan Stampfield - it's a fun fold that is quite unique. Click on this link to see her blog post and video. Here is an up close picture of it.
This class should be a lot of fun. Here are the dates and times:
Sunday, March 17th (only 2 seats left) - 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm - my home
Friday, March 22nd - 10am - 2pm - Morton Christian Church
Please let me know ASAP if you plan to attend and when.
Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope to meet you in class!
