Cute Kit Kat Treat Holder - Boo Kitty!

 Hi all!

I  made this little treat holder for my granddaughters first grade Halloween party and it was so cute and easy to make, that I thought I'd share it with you.

I used a 2" banner punch, a 5/8" heart punch and a 3/4" square punch.  The "Boo" comes from the Tricks and Treats die set from Stampin'Up and the cute little green sparkle nose is the Glitter Sequins from StampinUp.  This kitty holds the snack size of Kit Kat of course!

Here is the free PDF that you can download:

I have even done a quick (?) video to show you how to put all this together:

Hope you enjoyed todays project.  Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Blessings.......Sheryl

Trucking Along Bridge Christmas Card

Hi All!

I made this card for my September 2023 class and it was so much fun  to make.  It's quite unique also.  It's an oversized card (5-1/2 x 5-1/2 when folded) which of course requires a special envelope, which I ordered through Amazon.  Click here to order the envelopes from Amazon.

I also have a free pdf with the recipe.

And here is the video on how to put this together.

I hope you enjoy making this card.

Blessing,  Sheryl

October 2023 Stampin' Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle - Designer Series Paper!

Hi all, and welcome to the October blog waddle put on by the Stampin' Stray Ducklings.  Our theme this month is the beautiful designer series paper found in the Stampin'Up! September - December 2023 Mini catalog.

I'm really loving the new mini catalog and it's beautiful designer series paper.  In fact, so much so that I have 2 cards to show you.  The first is using the beautiful Winter Meadow, which uses non-traditional Christmas colors:  Basic Black, Blueberry Bushel, Garden Green, Lost Lagoon, Misty Moonlight, Moody Mauve, Pebbled Path, Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce, and Smoky Slate. Here is a picture showing the 6 different designs of beautiful watercolors.  I love the soft colors and the gentle images.

And here is the card that I made.  I used Fresh Freesia and Misty Moonlight to make this simple card.  the pattern was toned down a bit by the use of a small rectangle of vellum card stock.  My inspiration was from Rhonda Wade:

I also used Christmas Classic Dies, the new punch, modern oval and the white iridescent ribbon.

The second card I want to show you is both a Trick and a Treat!  Great card to give at Halloween.  It's called a "never-ending-card" and may have to come with instructions on how to open it. (I've provided a video!)  I used the "Them Bones" 12 x 12 Designer series paper.  Here is the card - all 4 sides!

And here is a quick video on how to open this card!

I cannot take credit for creating this card.  The never-ending card technique has been around for quite a while.  Lynn Dunn, of Stamptastic Designs has done a wonderful video and also has a free download of all the measurements.  Check out her video here.

That's all for today.  Blessings,  Sheryl

September Card class - Ready for Fall and Halloween

Hi All!

Where has the summer gone?  The new September - December Stampin'Up mini catalog just went live on 6 September and I have sooo many ideas for card classes.  But first things first.  Here are the cards for the September card class:

I even snuck in a Christmas card with this group!  There are two fun cards in this class (well, they are all fun, actually).  The first one in pictured in the upper left, and this is a bridge card - a large bridge card.  When folded, the card measure 5-1/2 x 5-1/2.  So I needed to order special size envelopes - and it's going to cost more postage, but it's worth it.  I used the beautiful One Horse Open Sleigh 6 x 6 DSP and the larger card really shows it off.

The second card is called a fractured or faux shutter card.  Really simple and fun to make.  I used the beautiful new fall 6 x6 DSP and the All About Autumn Suite.

The third card can either be fall or Halloween - I'm leaving the choice up to you.

The 4th card is spotlighting the new 2023-2025 In Colors.  It makes a simple yet elegant card.  You will have your choice of Thank You, Sympathy or Hello.

Dates and Times for the September Class;

Sunday, September 24th - 1:30 - 5:00 pm - my house

Friday, September 29th - 10am - 2pm - Morton Christian Church

I hope you can make it to one of my classes.  Cost is $25 for 7 cards and envelopes and the recipe for each card so you can recreate it at home with your own supplies.

Please let me know ASAP if you are interested.  I need to start cutting the kits and I want to make sure I have sufficient supplies.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and thank you so much for taking my classes - it's been a blessing doing these classes and meeting all of you.

Blessings,  Sheryl

September 2023 Stray Duckling Blog Waddle - The New Winter Mini Catalog!

Hi All and welcome to our monthly blog waddle.  This month we are showcasing some of the wonderful products found in Stampin'Up's new winter mini catalog which runs from 6 September until 4 January 2024.

I love Halloween!  I love making special treats for the kids who come to my door and I love making special packaging for my granddaughter to take to school.  The new 2023 Winter Mini catalog did not disappoint!  Here is what I made using the new Tricks & Treats bundle and the Them Bones 12 x 12 Designer Series paper!

Here is a closer look:

I used the Pick of the Batch bundle on this treat bag - as well as the new deckled circle dies.

All of these dies came from the Tricks& Treats dies.  I also used the Adhesive Back Glitter Sequins, and colored the white ones with a Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin'Blend.  The ribbon is the 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon, Starry Sky.  Deckled Circles, my new favorite was also used.

Again, I used the deckled circle dies, and the dies from Trick & Treats.  Isn't that little candy corn the cutest?  The ribbon comes from the annual catalog Black & White 1/4" ribbon.

These were so much fun to make and went together in a jiffy.   Let your creativity blossom with this bundle.

Blessings,  Sheryl
