Today, it's Halloween and it's snowing out. How depressing. But, it's still Halloween and that is fun.
I wanted to show you the treats that I made for my church's annual Trunk or Treat. The coffins are from the Holiday Catalog, and the other little boxes are from the September Paper Pumpkin!
I had a lot of fun creating these treats. They went together surprisingly quick. Love my Paper Pumpkin!
Here is a Halloween card that I made as well. This design is from Julie Davison.
This was a quick and easy card to make and can be adapted to all the seasons. The stampset used was Everything Festive and it has a lot of sentiments for Halloween, Christmas and Valentines day. Love me a multipurpose stamp set!
Hope you enjoyed seeing my Halloween treats and keep warm!
The Stampin' Stray Ducklings are here to inspire you this Holiday season. The theme for our waddle this month is Fall/Halloween.
Here is my Halloween card inspired by Angie Juda, ( you can view her creation here) but with my own twist.
It's called a double Triangle fun fold. Easy to do - just take an 8-1/2 x 11" piece of card stock and score it horizontally at 4-1/4 - turn vertical or landscape and score again at 5-1/2. Then cut the paper diagonally in half, starting in the upper left hand corner and ending in the lower right corner. Easy Peasy! I think that mummy is just the cutest little monster ever!
Hope you enjoyed my card. Next on the waddle is Nancy Legate
Here is a list of all the ducklings that are waddling this month:
Last Saturday, October 5th, was World Card Making Day. I made cards, but it wasn't because it was World Card Making Day - it just turned out to be a happy coincidence... and therefore I am claiming it! I designed these two cards for our We Care Team at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church. We are sending out "thinking of you" cards to our shut ins.
Here they are:
The first card uses the First Frost stamp set - this little gem is in the annual catalog and was first introduced last year in the 2018 Holiday Catalog - it is an a beautiful stamp set and very versatile.
The second card is made with the Painted Harvest stamp set - a big favorite of mine! The flowers were embossed and then I used a shaving cream technique that demonstrator Kim Jolley came up with - you put the ink directly on an acrylic block, then a light layer of shaving cream. You take this and smear it over your card, then scrape off the shaving cream! Sounds hard then it is. It's just a bit messy. Also, embossing the flowers is a bit time consuming. I really would like to add this to my class schedule, but I'm afraid my ladies might throw things at me in frustration. I might have a coffee and cards and this would be the only card we make.
Hope you enjoyed my cards! I plan on designing Thanksgiving and Christmas cards for our shut ins and invite the ladies of the church to help make them and join in the fun of card making!
Stay tuned tomorrow for our October Stampin Stray Duckling blog waddle.
Stampin'Up is offering a special suite just for Christmas - and it's a very unusual one - Roses for Christmas - I love it! It's so different and beautiful. As a demonstrator, I could pre-order it in October. I can't wait to make the beautiful and unique cards for Christmas!
Here's a closer look at the suite:
You can buy the items individually, or you can buy the stamp set and dies for a 10% discount. If you order the entire suite, you get a beautiful bracelet along with the gold etched designer series paper, gold gems, sparkling gold ribbon as well as 2 stamp sets with coordinating dies.
Click here to download the pamphlet with all the details. You can also find this flyer in the right side column of my blog.
Here is a video made by Stampin'Up to explain further...
I'll be posting the samples as I make them!

It now really feels like fall here. And it's been BUSY! Marching Band can take up a lot of ones time and I'm not even in the band. So proud of my grandson Cody for working so hard in the Morton Marching Band and to all the kids and the wonderful, dedicated faculty that lead them through the season.
