February 2026 Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle -

 Hey there!

This month we are getting sketchy!  That is, we are using a card sketch to design our cards! I used a sketch from Stampinpretty.com.  I was attracted to the symmetry and the layering.  Here is the sketch:  


The layers were:  
                            4-1/4 x 5-1/2 - card base
                            4 x 5-14
                            3-3/4 x 5
                            2 x 5
                            3 x 3
                            2-1/2 x 2-1/2
                            2-1/2 x 1/2

Since it's almost Valentine's Day, I thought I would make a card using this sketch:




You can use any cardstock, designer paper and dies that you have on hand.  I used the fabulous Endless Love bundle which has some really nice dies and bold sentiments in it.  All my supplies are listed below.  

I put my own spin on this card by making it an easel card - I cut the card base 4-1/4 by 11 and scored it at 5-1/2 and 2-3/4.  I just adhered the front panel to the bottom of the card.  Don't forget to put a stopper on the inside though!

I may or may not have gotten carried away on the inside of the card, but hey, it's Valentines Day.  You have to go all out!
